Welcome! Are you new to the subject of "
Peak Oil?" No problem. It's easy to understand. Peak Oil refers to the "peak phase" on the graph of the world's oil production. First, you have to discover the oil, then you produce it, then you use it. Most people are only involved in the use of oil, that's why they have little awareness about oil production. Check out the graph below.

Unfortunately, credible experts from the oil business agree that the world's oil production is going to "peak" and some of us understand that global oil production has now entered the "peak phase." Entering the peak phase means that from now on the exponential phase of oil production is over. Soon when the maximum peak of oil production is reached there will be less and less oil produced each day to meet our needs. You already know this! Everybody understands that the reason gasoline prices have gone up and up is because the United States is IMPORTING oil. Oil production peaked in the US in 1971! Oil discovery peaked in about 1962!
This is not some "doomsday" scenario, it is already happening! As the world's oil production has entered the peak phase the efforts we have been making to produce oil are not working as well any more. A common meme for describing this effect is "running faster just to stay in place." This explains why we are having the "Global Crisis" and things just don't seem the same anymore. They aren't.
And, without as much cheap energy from oil and natural gas, there will not be enough cheap fuel for transporting foods to market and running large farms that use huge amounts of fuel for tractors, combines and pumps. Peak Oil means the end of the "
Green Revolution" that allowed us to grow so much food. The airline industry is already collapsing from the impact of Peak Oil on fuel costs. If there wasn't a peak in US oil production, 38 years ago, the US automaker companies wouldn't have to worry about making vehicles that get good mileage because fuels would still be cheap. Peak Oil is the underlying foundation of the global economy and is directly responsible for the 2008-2009 Global Economic Collapse we are living through.
The scale of the Peak Oil problem and the scale of the huge expected drop in oil and gas production is so large that only the power of a NETWORK solution offers a realistic chance of creating a solution matched in scale.
That is why we are building a network to educate people and raise their
AWARENESS of Peak Oil and also why we are seeking network solutions to start producing more transportation fuels locally.
We need your help to create a solution. Will you join us?
